Today we made red lanterns that I will have hanging in our Circle Time Area. I asked the children if they would rather have their lanterns in the table area or circle time area and they thought the circle time area was a better idea. Codey wanted to share his guitar today, so we did a little rocking out at the end of Circle Time. We played the Chinese Zodiac Animal Game again. I am so impressed at how well they do at pretending to be the animal they pick, keeping it a secret, and guessing what their friends are. They were also very curious about what animal they are, if they were born in '06 they are a Dog, '07 a Pig, '08 a Rat, '09 an Ox and I believe that covers everyone.
REMINDER: Our fieldtrip to the Library will be on Monday, Jan. 30th. So far I only have 1 parent that said they could drive, if I don't get enough drivers I will have to cancel the trip.
