We read my favorite back to school book, The Kissing Hand by
Audrey Penn. It is a really sweet book
and if your child asks you to kiss the palm of their hand tonight it is because
of this book. They may even want to kiss
the palm of your hand so you can think of them while they are at school. We talked about how we felt on our first day
of school and then we drew a picture of us on the first day. If your child comes to school on Fridays
there is a homework assignment on a brown paper bag that we sent home today, please
remember to bring those back on Friday so we can share them with our
class. We are also sending home book
orders that are due by Friday, August 31.
